AMPs 3rd Quarter Education: Budgeting in Today’s Economy and Market

July 12 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Where:  Freeman
11 Canal Center Plaza, Suite 100
Alexandria, VA  22314

There has been so much uncertainty over the past two years when it comes to planning your meetings budget. We’ve experienced depressed revenue streams due to lower attendance and rising costs associated with the production of our meetings, regardless of their delivery format. Inflation, supply chain limitations, labor shortages and other environmental factors, including a possible recession, will likely impact your 2023 budget.

To help you get a jump start on your budgeting process, AMPs has put together a 90-minute budget bootcamp which will bring together meetings professionals and expert supplier partners from various industry sectors (ex: hotels, convention centers, food & beverage, audio/visual, drayage, transportation and DMCs) to engage in a workshop style program.

We’ll start with a panel discussion of key things to watch in each sector that may impact your budget bottom-line and then you’ll have the opportunity to engage in small group conversations with your colleagues and each expert to address your burning budget questions.

  • Participants will examine financial conditions that are currently or may in the future, impact the meetings and event industry.
  • Participants will be able to analyze and differentiate which financial conditions may impact their budgets or their budget planning process.
  • Participants will develop ways of addressing shifting financial conditions into the creation of their budget.

Fees:  Complimentary to all AMPs members
$25.00 for Future Members (nonmembers)
