Just announced, Shameka Jennings, MTA, CMP, DES, CAE to join the panel discussion!

Join AMPs for an AMPlified State of the Industry program featuring icons of the meetings and travel profession. Nan Marchand Beauvois is U.S. Travel Association’s Senior Vice President of Membership and Industry Relations and Michael Dominquez, President & CEO, Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) will each give their perspectives on what they are seeing in the travel and meetings landscape. We are proud to announce that Shameka Jennings will round out this panel by giving the planner’s perspective and then join the others for an active discussion facilitated by Lauren Kramer, CAE and CEO of Meeting Priorities.

2022 brought back a demand in travel to business events as well as leisure. With that demand came higher prices for hotels, travel, food, and ancillary services. The Hospitality Industry, as with other industries, is still facing a smaller workforce although the job market is hot. What does this mean as we are heading into a recession? What can we expect with the new tripledemic? This session will discuss how to navigate through some of these including uncertainties in the airline industry, the need for increased advocacy and attendees desire to travel to face to face meetings but fearing increased COVID cases.

  1. Being prepared when negotiating future meeting contracts in the face of uncertainty.
  2. Understanding the effects of What the extensive Visa Visitor wait periods mean to your US meetings.
  1.  Understanding how the economic outlook affects our meetings.
  2.   Learn how to begin advocating for our industry and supporting GMID
